Focuses on the integrated study of the human body and the histology, anatomy, and physiology of the following systems and topics: cardiovascular, hematology, lymphatic and immune, urinary, fluid and electrolyte control, digestive, nutrition, respiratory, reproductive, and development. Includes a mandatory hands-on laboratory experience involving experimentation, microscopy, observations, and dissection. This is the second semester of a two-semester sequence.

It is important that you view ALL notes pertaining to your course.This course requires a lab kit. The lab kit fee was included in your tuition and fees, and the lab kit will be ordered after class begins. For additional information on lab kits, including how to order your kit, please see the Lab Kit FAQ: https://www.ccconline.org/lab-kit-faq/.This course also requires a microscope. The microscope is not part of the lab kit and must be purchased separately. The minimum power acceptable would be 400x total magnification. It is recommended that you acquire a 400x to 600x power microscope. If you are planning to continue on to BIO2104 Microbiology, we suggest you look for a 600x – 1000x power microscope with an optional oil immersion lens. To document your online labs, you will be required to submit pictures and/or videos of your lab work. A cell phone camera or another digital camera will work fine, and you will be provided instructions for taking pictures with a microscope as required.
